Title: Lingual technique overview for traction of impacted maxillary canines with dental anchorage
Introduction: The purpose of this poster is to offer an overview concerning the different traction possibilities of maxillary impacted canines in lingual orthodontics.
Methods and Material: Six different possibilities of traction in lingual orthodontics from classical traction, to overlay technique and explanations on the ballista spring.
Results and Discussions: A good preparation of the anchorage before the traction is the key of success, in order to minimize the side effects.
Conclusion: Of course the dental anchorage doesn‘t provide the same strength of anchorage as bone anchorage would do, but it is the orthodontist who chooses the most efficient technique for each case.
