Title: Class III approach of Japanease case, it’s Diagnosis and Treatment.

In our office, the Class II malocclusion patient was very few in Ortho-gnathic surgery cases, and the most part was the Class III malocclusion patients. So, it'll be considered about the Class III malocclusion patient mainly this time.

Early treatment of Class III from young period is doubted, and its validity seems very low from a problem of EBM in particular. So I was studying about the Differential Diagnosis of the early treatment of the Class III malocclusion. My subject was the “Critical factors influencing stability of class III treatment in growing children”. I found the KIX index (APDI -Antero-posterior Dysplasia Indicator- / ODI -Overbite Depth Indicator- by Young H. Kim) and use the KIX index for the Differential Diagnosis. "Guideline of treatment - future's perspective and time chart" were shown to patient's parents and long-term management was being performed on it.

Recently, we use the Lingual Appliance for the Ortho-gnathic surgery cases especially to the young. The reason why 1: dental caries rate reduced, 2: aesthetically and invisible reasons for young people, 3: playing wind instrument during treatment, 4: sports injury rate reduced, 5: the metal allergy becomes few.

Finally, I will show the Lingual Appliance case with the Ortho-gnathic surgery. There were a lot of upper two first bicuspid extraction cases for the Ortho-gnathic surgery in the Class III malocclusion, so we will show the guideline of Mechanics Pattern of the En-Masse Retraction.
